RELATED: How Kirby and the Forgotten Land Emphasizes Environmental Storytelling
Abandoned Beach
- Kirby and the Forgotten Land players can find this soul in the middle of the Gnawcodile’s swimming route at the start of the level.
- Players need to use the Ice Copy Ability to get this soul. On the right, players need to use it against the flaming logs. It will be on top of the barrel at the top.
- To the left past the island with the flaming logs, players will find a barrel inside a whirlpool with another piece of Leon’s Soul on top.
- On the shore up ahead, there’s a Balloon-Meister enemy surrounded by black mist. Damage it for a soul.
- Behind the flaming logs in the hole.
- This next piece of Leongar’s Soul can be found on the right side of the third Gordo Bar.
- 9 - A grouping of soul pieces will be rewarded to players for beating the Wild Edge mini-boss at the end of the first area.
Concrete Isles
- For this part of Forgo Bay, players will need the Ranger Copy Ability to collect all eight souls available in the area. There are targets players will find as they make their way through that offer five of these Leon’s Soul Pieces, as well as a Rare Stone. The first target to shoot at can be found to the right of the third square platform.
- The next soul can be easily found between two whirlpools underneath the first moving platform players will encounter.
- In crates to the left on the next platform past Soul 11.
Rare Stone - To make the Rare Stone appear, all players need to do is shoot the target out in the distance to the left.
- For this soul, players need to shoot yet another moving target found where the two moving platforms meet in the middle.
- The fifth soul piece in this area is easy to miss, but it can be found to the right of the last platform of the stage on top of a pylon in the middle of a whirlpool.
- 17 - Shoot the target found by the telephone tower to the north to make a treasure chest appear with these souls inside.
Scale the Cement Summit
- The first soul in the Scale the Cement Summit area can be found on a small metal box to the right behind a falling boulder.
- The next soul can be found underneath a broken piece of concrete that sits above and ahead of a falling rock’s path.
- Touch a spot covered in sparkles at the tip of the concrete that hid soul 19.
- Break a Bomb Block hidden in the right-hand corner behind a falling boulder.
- Found in a small hole to the right of the stairs.
- 25 - Before players head towards the platform that once allowed them to become Arch Mouth Kirby, they should keep to the left to find a small pool with wooden platforms. In the middle is another spot covered in sparkles. Fans should touch it to make a trail of coins appear that will lead fans to a treasure chest of souls.
Fast-Flowing Waterworks
- Players need to hit the switch on the metal grating in the middle of the room to expose a soul and open the way forward. However, they shouldn’t leave just yet.
- After hitting the switch, players should go to the other side of the room to find a random pillar of crates. They should break them all to claim the piece of Leon’s Soul up on top.
- In the hallway players use to get to the next area is a soul between two metal boxes.
- 31 - Once players make it to the next area, they should remember the big whirlpool rooms from the original Fast-flowing Waterworks level and how to be careful around them. There are two switches on the left-most wall and to the right of the exit. Fans can activate them to open the way, but also make a bundle of three souls appear underneath the nearby metal beam.
- These switches will also summon a Bronto Burt covered in black mist fans can beat for another soul.
- The next soul can be found on the northeast side of the third area. Fans can find this soul behind a Glunk enemy.
- The last soul in this part of the level requires that fans hit yet another switch. It can be found on the far right-hand side just like in the original level, and it will free a soul on the edge of the whirlpool. Fans need to grab the soul as fast as they can, though, as if it falls into it, players won’t get another try until they revisit the entire level again.
Volume 4 Toy Capsule - As soon as players make it to the end of the waterworks, they should swim a bit to the left to find a Golden Fish. Touching it will make the capsule appear.
Windy Concrete Path
- After the third cannon, there will be a Bomb Block on the left. Destroy it to expose a soul in the middle of the path further ahead.
- Players should keep their eyes peeled on the left-most path for a soul they’ll miss if they blink.
- In the next section, fans should inhale the stairs on the left to go back to get the ring on the right. Quickly spin the windmill switch to expose a soul in the middle up ahead.
- Another windmill switch is waiting for fans on the right that will also free a second trapped soul piece.
- Soon after that will be yet another windmill switch on the left. Spinning it will expose another one on the right, and spinning that one will unlock a soul hidden in a cage.
- Behind players in the round final area is a Squishy covered in black mist that’s holding a soul.
- 43 - One last windmill switch sits on the round platform in the middle of the last section that when activated, frees a batch of three souls.
- 48 - Reward for beating Phantom Tropic Woods. Like Phantom Gorimondo, not much of the boss fight has changed. Phantom Tropic Woods can create a fence maze during its desperation mode, but fans can easily use the shadows to find the way out before they appear.
