Kirk Cousins continued hot streak with 365 passing yards, four touchdowns to three different receivers and one boneheaded mistake at the end of the first half that didn’t matter in the grand scheme of things.

“This is the happiest I’ve ever been as a football player,” Cousins told NFL Network after the game. “It’s a great opportunity I had as the starting quarterback to start the year. I wanted to make good on it, and now with a division title I think we have.”

Tight end Jordan Reed was the main beneficiary of Cousins’ big night, hauling in nine catches for 129 yards and two scores. Pierre Garcon and Chris Thompson had the other two touchdown catches.

The 6-9 Eagles, who will be on the couch during the playoffs for a second consecutive season under Chip Kelly, couldn’t get anything going on the ground to complement Sam Bradford and the passing game. DeMarco Murray was the team’s leading rushing with 27 yards and a touchdown, but he also had a lowlight fumble that was returned by DeAngelo Hall for a Redskins touchdown.

Bradford attempted 56 passes, completing 37 of them, for 380 yards and a touchdown.

Washington (8-7), which also ended the postseason hopes for the New York Giants. The Redskins finish the regular season with a road game against the Cowboys in Week 17. Saturday’s win was Washington’s 600th in franchise history (including the playoffs), joining the Bears (757), Packers (751), Giants (697) and Steelers (622) as the only teams with 600 all-time wins.

It was also the second time this millennium the Redskins clinched the division title.
