It’s never good when a quarterback has more interceptions than touchdowns, but Cousins feels like his interceptions could be worse. Take his 2014 season, for example, when he threw nine interceptions in six games.

“I don’t feel like the turnovers this year have been quite as awful as they were last year,” Cousins said. “Some of the interceptions I threw last year were just very poor reads, very poor throws, very poor decisions, and while some of the interceptions this year have been that, I don’t think it’s been quite as many.”
It’s a nice thought, but at the end of the day, they’re still turnovers. To be fair to Cousins, interceptions can happen many different ways. A defender can just make a great play, a receiver can drop the ball or many other crazy scenarios.
“I think every pick is its own entity,” he said. “I mean, you can look at the results and say, ‘Okay, too many picks.’ But every interception has its own reason and its own explanation, so they’re all different.”
Cousins and the Redskins currently sit at the bottom of the NFC East with a 2-4 record.
