Cats do not care one way or the other. Their only offensive scheme is waiting until you turn your head so they can leap on top of your kitchen counter. Their only defensive game plan is sprinting under the bed when you turn your vacuum on. Other than that? Fur-get about it.
So they will likely be confused, if not slightly annoyed, to be plopped onto a football field for the sixth annual Kitten Bowl.

This year’s “game” will include rescue kittens from shelters around the U.S. with the ultimate prize being the coveted Feline Football trophy. There have been more than 25,000 shelter pet adoptions since the competition began in 2014, and the Kitten Bowl’s aim — not to be confused with the Puppy Bowl, its longer-running canine version — is to find homes for its cat-letes.
Oh, and did we mention the kittens have their own locker room? And that the game will have virtual reality immersion?
