Lynn, who just started facing throwdowns, will take on Ben Cutting and Billy Stanlake next week and that will give him an idea of how his recovery is going.

“It’s tracking really nicely. It’s a short turnaround with the timeframe that we’ve got but it’s all going well. The docs and the physios are happy so that’s all I can do. Fingers crossed I can keep going in the right direction and try to make myself available for the first game of the IPL.

“If not, it’s not the end of the world but I’m doing everything I can to get back out there. I’ve had a bat during the week just on throwdowns, so I’ll ramp it up next week against ‘Cuttsy’ and Billy Stanlake. If I can get through those two blokes, I’ll know I’m going okay,” Lynn told cricket.com.au of his recovery.

In the 2018 IPL auction, Lynn was bought by the Knight Riders for a whopping Rs 9.6 crores INR and was a candidate for captaining the side before he got injured and the franchise named Dinesh Karthik as the captain for the 2018 season.

In the T20I tri-seres that featured the Aussies, England and New Zealand, Lynn dislocated his right shoulder when he landed awkwardly diving to stop a ball in the inner ring. He was trying to protect his troublesome left shoulder but unfortunately ended up hurting his right shoulder.

Lynn being fit in time for the IPL is a welcome news for the KKR franchise and the fans as they are already facing a lot of injury issues to some of their key players. In the first match of the season, they will be hosting Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 8.
