Thompson was cleared by doctors Tuesday and talked to the media before getting the official word. He said he’s “99.9 percent sure” he’ll be able to play in Thursday’s Game 1. Coach Steve Kerr said Thompson “looked good” in practice, so things are definitely looking good.

His Warriors teammates took notice of his recovery as well. Shaun Livingston said Thompson played well during practice.
While the Warriors await official word on Thompson, they do know the status of another injured player. Reserve big man Marreese Speights (right calf) will be available for Game 1, according to Kerr. Speights has missed the last eight games for Golden State, but will be ready to contribute in the series.
