Stephen Curry also recalled watching the Bulls in their prime.

“Every time they came on TV, you knew it was going to be a special game,” he told Nichols. “You knew it was going to be an electrifying atmosphere, kind of like what we’re experiencing now — the Bulls were going to get every team’s best shot.”

The Warriors, who need to win their final three games to beat the 1995-96 Bulls 72-10 record, recently visited a fortune cookie factory. Nichols said Thompson wrote “73-9” on a fortune.

“I was trying to bring us as much luck as possible,” he said. “To get to 73 wins, you need a little luck on the way. Hopefully that fortune will bring me and my teammates some.”
