Don’t let the ESPN headline fool you, either — the Warriors aren’t all that mad about getting clowned via Halloween decorations.

Draymond Green flashed “a massive smile” and dropped a “more power to the them.” Steph Curry giggled and said he’d keep quiet. Kevin Durant said, in so many words, leave me out of this. It’s good; that’s the way they should handle it, because they a) blew a 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals, and b) spent a decent chunk of 2015 gloating about their win over the Cavs. All’s fair.

Klay Thompson, though? Klay was …

Now, this is funny for a couple reasons. The main one: It was Thompson, more than anyone — and that includes Green and his ball-taps — who waded into villainous waters during the Final. If Green’s suspension greased the wheels for the 3-1 collapse, Thompson’s postgame’ smugness, centered around James’ disapproval of Green’s trash talk, started the engine.

Again — he said that about LeBron James. In hindsight, it was unwise. So, that’s the most immediately funny element here. Mr. “Don’t Catch Feelings” caught feelings … about Halloween decorations.

What makes it even better, though, is that it’s always him. It’s always Klay. Klay’s mindset is why “The Warriors blew a 3-1 lead” jokes are still funny. Klay is the Warriors’ thin skin, and he is mad all the time.

He was mad at an unnamed Warriors exec, quoted in a preseason ESPN story about Green:

He was mad at the suggestion that the Warriors would have to alter their games to accommodate Kevin Durant:

Best of all, back in May, he was mad Damian Lillard made second team All-NBA over him.

Point being: Klay Thompson gets mad a lot, which is fine. He should just remember that next time he makes fun of folks for doing the same.
