Thompson scored 39 points but sprained his right ankle Tuesday in the final moments of his team’s 131-123 win over the Pacers. X-rays were negative, according to the Warriors, but Thompson will be re-evaluated Wednesday.

“Luckily, it’s not a bad sprain,” Thompson told reporters after the game. “It’s probably going to be sore for a couple days, but I should be back in no time.”
He said he hopes to play Friday against the Celtics or Saturday against the Bucks.

Thompson rolled his ankle while going for a rebound late in the game as the Warriors managed to hold off a late comeback attempt.
The All-Star forward hit 10 of 16 attempts from the 3-point line to help his team improve to 23-0.
