This time, Keeton — the Aggies’ single-season record-holder for passing yards (3,373) and touchdowns (27), both set in 2012 — will miss 4-6 weeks with a sprained MCL in his right knee.

Keeton’s left knee has been the more problematic. He tore the ACL and MCL in that knee the sixth game of 2013 and then reinjured it three games into last season.
Keeton sustained the most recent injury in a loss to Washington during which he threw a pair of first-half touchdown passes to tie the Utah State career mark of 60 set by Jose Fuentes (1998-2002).
Utah State and Keeton catch one break in that the Aggies are idle Saturday before opening Mountain West play Oct. 3 against Colorado State. Sophomore Kent Myers completed 79-of-119 passes with five TDs and three interceptions as one of Keeton’s replacements in 2014.
