In the interim, Udrih, who reportedly asked to be moved within the last week, has the Knicks willing to help him in that process, according to ESPNNewYork.com.

Udrih has not been with the Knicks for a full season. He signed on as a backup guard this past summer after agreeing to a veteran's minimum at $1.27 million. He's paired in the backcourt with Raymond Felton and Pablo Prigioni.

Felton and Prigioni have dealt with injuries this year, and Udrih stepped in to fill the point guard slot. Now that both players are back, he faces a sharp change in playing time.

Udrih's biggest problem in New York, however, is becoming the subject of public criticism. One such time came after he passed the ball to J.R. Smith in a late-game situaiton and coach Mike Woodson questioned Udrih's pass, not Smith decision to shoot at an inopportune time.

"I kind of feel like when I do the right thing, it's not the right thing in some people's eyes," Udrih said in December, according to ESPNNewYork.com. "It's just tough. It's easy to point fingers when the team loses. But it comes down to, we are a team, we lose together. No matter who makes a mistake or who doesn't, it's still a team loss.

"So I think all of this stuff should be kept out of the media and not call certain people out or something. We've just got to go out there and fix it and watch video and fix it as a team."

Time could run out on that approach if the Knicks find a trade partner.
