The last time the Knicks won a game was Dec. 12, when they defeated the Celtics.
Carmelo Anthony led New York with 24 points and nine rebounds, while Langston Galloway added 21 points.
The Pelicans were missing big man Anthony Davis (sprained toe) and point guard Jrue Holiday (inflamed ankle) but still managed to rally in the fourth quarter, cutting a 15-point deficit to one with two minutes left. They failed to make another basket.
The Knicks are now 6-36, still worst in the NBA.
