Fellow Knicks players defended the All-Star at the team’s annual charity bowling tournament — which Anthony skipped Wednesday for personal reasons — one day after he argued with a fan at Madison Square Garden.

Robin Lopez told reporters that what Anthony is going through is unlike what other teammates have to deal with as the team struggles through another disappointing season.

“(Anthony’s) in the spotlight in terms of the media and he is the No. 1 guy on the roster. That is a burden that I can’t even imagine,” Lopez said via the New York Daily News. “So you have to realize he is going through something totally different than the rest of us. That said, we are with him every step of the way.”

Rookie sensation Kristaps Porzingis echoed Lopez’s sentiment.

“You feel bad for your leader,” Porzingis said. “Melo has been doing everything for us — scoring, rebounding, playing really good — and we want to step up and play at his level and help him win games.”

The Knicks are 25-37 and likely to miss the playoffs for a third straight season.
