It makes sense that we take care of our phones as best as we can. Most people put the screen protector on the phone. It is also prudent to put the phone in a suitable phone case also. A screen protector is very easy to apply. However, sometimes bubbles can come between the screen protector and the screen. Today, we will share some tips to get those pesky bubbles out of the screen protector.
Getting bubbles out of the screen protector can be quite a cumbersome task. It can happen if the screen has not been applied correctly or if the screen was unclean before application.
Bubbles under the screen protector make the phone look untidy. You may also feel the roughness on the screen of the mobile because of the bubbles.
There are two methods that you can use for removing the bubbles from under the screen protector.
You can either peel back the screen protector and put it back on. If you do not want to go through the trouble of peeling the screen protector, you can remove the bubbles even then also.
Method A –
To remove the screen protector, slide a credit card slowly under the screen. Do not push it too hard otherwise, the screen protector might crack. The idea is to pry open the screen protector. Once the screen protector is off, take a microfibre cloth. Microfibre cloth works the best because it is lint-free. Take a few drops of rubbing alcohol on one end of the cloth, wipe it across the screen of the phone in one clean swipe. Then take the dry end of the cloth and wipe the surface dry.
When you do this, ensure that your hands are also clean. Any debris or grease on your fingers will also transfer on the screen of the phone. Now, it is time to put back the screen protector. To ensure that it is perfectly aligned, start at one edge of your device. Then steadily press it down across the screen. The adhesive on the screen protector will stick to the screen right away. Once the screen protector is back in its place, take a credit card and gently slide it from the center to the edges. Be very gentle as to not hurt the screen of your phone. Do this until the air bubbles are gone.
Method B –
This method involves the use of oil to remove bubbles forming around the edges of the screen protector. Take a cotton swab and dip it slightly in oil. Move this swab along the edges of your screen and see that the oil goes under the screen protector.
The air bubbles should dissolve once they come into contact with the oil. If the oil does not go under the screen protector, gently lift it slightly so that it can enter underneath.
Once the air bubbles dissolve, press the screen protector back. This should also push out any excess oil that is there underneath the screen protector. Now take a paper towel or a lint-free cloth to remove any excess oil that may be present there.
The screen protector is an essential thing to protect your precious mobile phone from any damage. However, the bubbles can cause uneven placement and problems in moving fingers across the screen. It is easy to get bubbles out of the screen protector. In case, you do not feel confident in doing it yourself, you can always take your phone to a professional.
