The Lakers’ late-night meeting with the free-agent forward didn’t go so well, according to multiple reports, and Kobe Bryant might have had something to do with it. Mike Bresnahan of the Los Angeles Times says it’s unlikely that the marquee big man will take his talents to the Staples Center after he and Bryant failed to click in their brief meeting.

Aldridge is a four-time All-Star in the prime of his career. But, apparently, Bryant saw him as being a complementary player to his 38-year-old self. That is, if you believe the media narrative.
Bryant does not.
The Lakers reportedly felt optimistic after the meeting.
Aldridge will meet with at least five other teams this week, including the Rockets, Spurs, Suns, Raptors and Mavericks — many of whom already have met with the star.
