But Sunday, Bryant not only didn’t meet Rondo with the Mavericks in Los Angeles, but also didn’t return his phone calls.

“He bailed on me again this time,” Rondo said, via the Los Angeles Times. “I left a couple of voicemails, but he didn’t respond.”
Rondo, a free agent at the end of the season, is expected to be one of the Lakers’ top offseason targets. He said he’ll likely get together with Bryant some other time but said his phone number may be changed by the time free agency rolls around.
But if the Lakers want Rondo badly enough, it shouldn’t be too hard to find his digits. And when the Lakers and Bryant come calling with a monster deal, Rondo likely won’t let that call go to his voicemail.
