After an evaluation by team doctors prior to Tuesday night's game, the Lakers announced that Kobe Bryant would be out for about three more weeks because the pain and swelling in his knee had not yet fully subsided.
Bryant has been sidelined since Dec. 19 with a tibial plateau fracture in his left knee. At that time, the team believed the injury would keep him off the court for six weeks.
Tuesday's update stretches that timetable to approximately eight weeks post-injury.
