The Lakers legend spoke with Michael Yo from The Insider on Thursday and was asked who he believes should take home the MVP award: Stephen Curry or James Harden?

Bryant admitted that it was a tough decision — it’s been a tightly contested race all season long, after all — but sided with Harden based on the body of work he did for a banged up Rockets team that crawled their way to the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference.
Both the Rockets and Warriors handled business in the first round of the playoffs and a showdown in the Western Conference finals is still in play.
He goes on to say, “[James Harden] had to keep that team afloat. I think the team actually got better, when he went down. Which is hard to do. So I think with the responsibilities he had to deal with this season I’d vote James [Harden].”
Maybe we should wait until then to decide who takes home the hardware.
