The newly shared virtual office tour of Kojima Productions was narrated by Akio Otsuka, a famous Japanese voice actor and a frequent Kojima collaborator who voiced Snake(s) throughout the Metal Gear Solid games. The 63-year-old actor was also among Kojima’s biggest supporters throughout his Konami split back in 2015. He was most recently hired by the studio to play Die-Hardman in the Japanese language version of Death Stranding, a role he is likely to reprise now that Death Stranding 2 is official.

With a runtime of nearly ten minutes, the Otsuka-narrated tour of Kojima Productions’ headquarters is a real treat for the developer’s fans, offering a detailed look at its office and studio areas, display spaces, and even a futuristic-looking cafeteria. The developer dubbed the theme of its latest renovations “spaceship transformation,” stating that it wanted the new office space to capture both its “playful spirit” and “innovative nature.” The iconic Ludens character incorporated into Kojima Productions’ logo is still prominently featured throughout the new location.
The impressive-looking headquarters underline how far the studio has come since 2015, when Kojima Productions barely managed to rent office space, landing a lease only because one of its former landlords happened to be a fan of the Metal Gear series. In a short anniversary address posted on Twitter, studio founder Hideo Kojima thanked the fans for their support over the past seven years, promising that the company will be sharing more news about its upcoming projects over the course of 2023.
As for the scope of its current endeavors, Kojima Productions is currently working on at least two games, Death Stranding 2 and an Xbox exclusive that has yet to be officially unveiled. The company also opened a Los Angeles-based TV and music production studio in late 2021 and is currently rumored to be working on an anime series. Kojima himself previously said he’s interested in expanding his portfolio to both film and music.
